Decorize.com announces the launch of their 7-day delivery logistics model for national retailer Dillard's. Up to 20 SKU's of home accent products will be offered on Dillard's web site beginning this month. Using decorize.com's patent pending logistics model, product will be delivered from the Far East directly to Dillard's customers in an average of 7 days.

The business model means that Dillard's will not incur the normal costs of warehousing, labor, inventory, and associated costs. Dillard's will also not own the inventory and only pays for the goods if a customer clicks on their site to buy the merchandise.

Beta testing for the model was done in August and September of 2000. According to Jon Baker CEO of Decorize.com, "Dillard's has been an exceptional partner in pioneering this unique business model…we could not have launched with a better company." Baker went on to say that the model will only be used for a select group of large retail partners and he anticipates several other retailers utilizing the 7-day model in 2001.
